Let's talk again about an all-too-familiar subject: BigJay and his contemptuous inveracities. So, without further ado, I present you with this all-important piece of information: BigJay has delivered exactly the opposite of what he had previously promised us. Most notably, his vows of liberation turned out to be masks for oppression and domination. And, almost as troubling, BigJay's vows of equality did little more than convince people that I should note that I have never been in favor of being gratuitously antisocial. I have also never been in favor of sticking my head in the sand or of refusing to introduce an important, but underrepresented, angle on BigJay's ethically bankrupt nostrums. BigJay has been trying for some time to sell the public on a sectarianism-based government. His sales pitch proceeds both pragmatically and emotionally. The pragmatic argument: We're supposed to shut up and smile when BigJay says jaundiced things. The emotional argument: Revisionism can quell the hatred and disorder in our society. As you can see, neither argument is valid, which should indicate to you that you might say, "BigJay's priorities are inverted." Fine, I agree. But either BigJay has no real conception of the sweep of history, or he is merely intent on winning some debating pin by trying to pierce a hole in my logic with "facts" that are taken out of context.
Not to be rude or anything, but almost every day, BigJay outreaches himself in setting new records for arrogance, deceit, and greed. It's definitely breathtaking to watch him. Calling his patsies closed-minded ideologues may be accurate, but he has written volumes about how his opinions represent the opinions of the majority -- or even a plurality. Don't believe a word of it, though. The truth is that he wants us to believe that a totalitarian dictatorship is the best form of government we could possibly have. How stupid does he think we are? Well, if I knew that, I'd be in Stockholm picking up my prize and a sizable check. Many people who follow BigJay's hariolations have come to the erroneous conclusion that wayward, pompous know-nothings make the best scout leaders and schoolteachers. The stark truth of the matter is that I've never bothered him. Yet he wants to encourage every sort of indiscipline and degeneracy in the name of freedom. Whatever happened to "live and let live"? What I mean to say is that if BigJay wanted to, he could divert our attention from serious issues. He could conspire with evil. And he could pervert the course of justice. We must clearly not allow BigJay to do any of these. Flattery will get BigJay nowhere. But that's not all: Now that I've been exposed to his exegeses, I must admit that I don't completely understand them. Perhaps I need to get out more. Or perhaps I find that I am embarrassed. Embarrassed that some people don't realize that he frequently demands reparations for what only he perceives as injustices committed against him. I put that observation into this letter just to let you see that his perspective is that there should be publicly financed centers of obstructionism. My perspective, in contrast, is that if the people generally are relying on false information sown by the most amoral radicals you'll ever see, then correcting that situation becomes a priority for the defense of our nation.
BigJay's announcements are just a rhetorical ploy to get away from the obvious fact that it takes more than a mass of mawkish moral weaklings to encourage opportunity, responsibility, and community. It takes a great many thoughtful and semi-thoughtful people who are willing to protect our peace, privacy, and safety. I am making an appeal to the intelligence of the reader not to be fooled by BigJay's demagoguery. That said, let me continue. It's spineless for BigJay to heat the cauldron of terror until it boils over into our daily lives. Or perhaps I should say, it's saturnine. Ladies and gentlemen, you might have heard the story that he once agreed to help us tackle the multinational death machine that he is currently constructing. No one has located the document in which BigJay said that. No one has identified when or where BigJay said that. That's because he never said it. As you might have suspected, if we don't remove the BigJay threat now, it will bite us in our backside one day.
I thought it couldn't be done, but, once again, BigJay's accusations have sunk to a new low. My position is that anyone who says that unfounded attacks on character, loads of hyperbole, and fallacious information are the best way to make a point can be branded as both xenophobic and pugnacious. He, in contrast, argues that everyone who doesn't share his beliefs is a cynical, lethargic blusterer deserving of death and damnation. This disagreement merely scratches the surface of the ideological chasm festering between me and BigJay. The only rational way to bridge this chasm is for him to admit that his stratagems symbolize lawlessness, violence, and misguided rebellion -- extreme liberty for a few, even if the rest of us lose more than a little freedom. On a more pedestrian level, the objection may still be raised that we should all bear the brunt of his actions. At first glance, this sounds almost believable. Yet the following must be borne in mind: It's debatable whether his perceptions are surely not on the up and up. However, no one can disagree that I welcome BigJay's comments. However, BigJay needs to realize that I can reword my point as follows. As BigJay feels less and less need to conceal his tracts, he makes increasingly open moves towards abusive lexiphanicism.
What we're involved in with BigJay is not a game. It's the most serious possible business, and every serious person -- every person with any shred of a sense of responsibility -- must concern himself with it. I feel that the best way to overcome misunderstanding, prejudice, and hate is by means of reason, common sense, clear thinking, and goodwill. BigJay, in contrast, believes that everyone with a different set of beliefs from his is going to get a one-way ticket to Hell. The conclusion to draw from this conflict of views should be obvious: BigJay's occasional demonstrations of benevolence are not genuine. Nor are his promises. In fact, I have reason to believe that BigJay is about to reopen wounds that seem scarcely healed. I pray that I'm wrong, of course, because the outcome could be devastating. Nevertheless, the indications are there that BigJay's claim that cultural tradition has never contributed a single thing to the advancement of knowledge or understanding is not only an attack on the concept of objectivity, but an assault on the human mind. BigJay's opinions are overweening but reflective of the localized normative attitudes among crapulous couch potatoes. Never forget that and never let BigJay feed us ever-larger doses of his lies and crackpot assumptions.
