Once we saw that Specialized would offer earlier this year, it could only be a matter of time before complete bikes would follow. It appears the wait is over: Specialized has just added two 650B Stumpjumper FSR models to its .
The first — but certainly not the last — Specialized models to get mid-sized wheels will be two bikes in the Stumpjumper FSR EVO line. 'EVO' denotes bikes in the Specialized line that have more gravity-oriented geometry and feature more suspension travel than the standard models.
Both 650B Stumpjumper EVO models have 150mm of rear wheel travel and sport features one would expect on a modern trail bike, including 142x12 rear thru axles, ISCG-05 chainguide tabs and internal routing for dropper seatposts.
The US$6,500 Stumpjumper FSR Expert Carbon EVO has a carbon front triangle with an aluminum rear end. Its spec’d with a SRAM X01 drivetrain, Shimano XT M-785 brakes, a custom-tuned Fox CTD shock w/AutoSag, and a 150mm RockShox Pike RC fork.
