Snowshoes

Not sure where to post this...anyone have some experience with snowshoeing? I want to be able to go pretty much anywhere - hike up and snowboard down through the backcountry, or take them on some rolling groomed trails. I don't really want an entry level one, something in the middle range. What are some thoughts on what to look for?
